God exchanged angels with us!

Hello Loving Family and Friends,

Wanted to let you know that Bill's Dad passed away this morning at 6:15. His brother Vic called on Monday afternoon and we did get here in plenty of time to see him alive. The services will be held on Saturday at Sacred Heart at 10:00 in Waterflow, NM. There will also be a rosary said Friday evening at 6:00.

God gave us an angel to replace Dad (also an angel). Our granddaughter, Kristi, delivered a 6 lb. 10 oz., 18 1/2" with lots of black hair! Oh is she beautiful!

Rejoice with us as we celebrate these two events in life/death! Also, please keep Bill's family in your prayers.

Love to all,
Jeanine

R E M I S S I O N - That's me - I'm in R E M I S S I O N

Such a beautiful word and I thank God for being in REMISSION. It's amazing the things that you ask for that you receive. One of my things I asked for was to be in REMISSION! I also asked to be bald, but had no idea I would receive it in the form of brain cancer. Hair is slowly and I do mean slowly coming in. That's ok. I know God will provide!

Just a quick update on our holidays. Ours were great and hope yours were too. We celebrated 31 years of marriage on Nov. 22nd. Since our anniversary was on Thanksgiving, we didn't do much. Just having and being with my family was good enough for me.

All of my family was together at my home on Thanksgiving. I really didn't do anything but bake the turkey and make mashed potatoes. All my other family members provided the balance of the meal. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing my great nieces (twins) from Indiana. They are so darned cute! Of course, they look just like their great Aunt Jean (not)!

The week before Christmas we flew to New Mexico so Bill could get in one last audit for his company. We took advantage of being there by renting a car and driving up north to Farmington where Bill's family lives. There we have a lot of Bill's family, sons Ray and Paul and daughter Cruzan (she owns her own restaurant and serves YUMMY food)! We enjoyed visiting with his/OUR grandchildren and great grandchildren too! His Father (who turned 90 on 1/7), sister and brother live there and we enjoyed a few days of visiting with them and then drove back to Albuquerque for the audit. Finished the audit and then flew back to the comfort of our home. I always tap my heals together and say: "There's no place like home, Auntie Em"!

For Christmas we went to my Brother Don's house and for New Years we were celebrating birthdays, me and my twin, 12/29, my Mom and Brother Bill, 12/31, and my other Brother Don 1/2. We were set for a big night, but too many family members were sick with sinus issues that folks came and left. 8:00 was way too early to go to bed, so Bill and I stayed up to watch the new year come in and then went to bed!

We pray that God will bless you with health and wealth in the year of 2008. What rhymes with 8? The word GREAT. So, may 2008 be a GREAT year for all of you!

In God's love,
Jean/Jeanine

Many blessings received this Thanksgiving!

Hello Family and Friends,
Had a delightful gobble day with 33 folks at my home! I didn't know if I would be able to handle all the people, the cleaning of the house, the cooking, but I DID IT! We were all thankful to God that he is healing me and that he is blessing me with a little bit more memory gain than I had previously. Praise God for that! It's very frustrating to not remember what you just did or said. I know you all think that you have that problem too. When I tell folks about my short term memory, they tell me they have the same thing. They can't possibly appreciate how frustrating it is. I hope that you don't get it to the extent that I have had it. BUT, my short term memory is starting to come back, little by little. I'm still confused at times, but I am starting to remember more and more!

Bill and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary and it was a delight. Just having Bill home for more than 4 days was really a treat for me. One thing that he's doing for me is downsizing the business. He's gone way too much for me to be handle all that I had been handling. (That's where I've noticed my short term memory loss from.) Been making lots of mistakes, which is something that I seldom do. That will relieve a lot of the stress being placed on me. Don't get me wrong, I know I will have stress in my life, but not the kind I had before my brain surgery.

Hope you are all doing well and that God will continue to bless you. He's blessed me by giving me people like you to pray for me.

Bill and I are making plans to downsize the business and have me travel with him for at least one trip a month. He's 67 and should be retired, and I want to be with him as much as possible. He, my parents and my family have taken extra special care of me. He's a good nurse!!!!

Next doc appt. is on Jan. 9th. Pray that all goes well and that I'm still in remission! I appreciate your prayers more than you will ever know.

In God's love,
Jeanine

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ME! I'M IN REMISSION!

Well Folks,
The treat was on me today! Went in to have my MRI, bloodwork and visit with Dr. Maher and was told that I am in Remission!!!! Praise God for all the good that he does in this world. Praise God for the scientists that work so hard to find cures for these horrible diseases.

I have to go back on January 9th for another follow-up, but that's ok. I will have to do that for another year. I'm just thankful that nothing else had formed!

I have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. My hubby and I will be married 31 years and our anniversary is on Thanksgiving this year.

Rejoice with us as we give thanks to our heavenly Father! Thanks for your healing prayers!

In God's love,
Jeanine

Almost another month has passed since my last post!

Hello All,

My oh my how quickly time is passing. I was shocked to see the date of September 16th on my last blog. I will try to do much better to keep you informed. When nothing is really going on, it's hard to remember to post something (that's a GREAT thing)!

Waiting for next appt. on 10/31. One of the greatest things that has happened in the last week is that the swelling on my head is gone! Praise God! Since I had surgery, every morning when I would get up, the top of my head around my incision would be swollen. We were genuinely concerned that it might never go down (or away). My doc kept telling me that it would go away and this was normal; but to me, I didn't know what normal was. They see this type of situation every day and they are used to it. I wasn't and neither was any of my family. We had tons of questions which usually ended up with the same answer "this is normal". I feel I can be a better witness to others because God did give me the "normal" and now it really is the "normal". Hope that makes sense! Anyway, I no longer have the knot on top of my head. A very dear friend of ours, Joe Thomas, used to call me "knothead". He has since passed away, but he would have had a blast calling me knothead!

Please pray for my friend, Margaret Thomas, (Joe's wife) and her family. Her son-in-law, Floyd, passed away on Sunday. His wife, Pam, (Margaret's daughter)and their four grown children, and many grandchildren had a great life together. Margaret won't be able to attend the funeral in Boulder, CO. We just lift this whole family up to you Lord. Take care of them, love them and let them know how special each of them are to you.

My sisters and I are going to get together for sister weekend on 10/26 - 10/28! Should be lots of fun! They will be coming to Dallas and we'll be staying at the Staybridge Hotel in Plano. Anxious to see them again!

PLEASE Pray that I get a GREAT report on 10/31. Please pray for my hubby and my parents as they continue to take care of me. They are such wonderful, earthly treasures and I don't know what I would do without any of them. I love you all.

Hugs and kisses and God be with you til we meet again,
Jeanine
